Mainsail numbers?
I sent all my sails to Sailcare. One of the things I asked them to do was quote me for sewing numbers on my main. It has the CD31 logo but had never had a number applied. Is there any kind of convention or industry standard when applying numbers. I was going with the hull number "27" but figured I'd ask this esteemed body if they had any suggestions. Just as an aside I owned a Grampian 26 in the seventies and an Ericson 29 in the late seventies. They had consecutive hull numbers. Not quite up to the standard of the Lincoln and Kennedy connection but still spooky.
I've always used my hull number.

I have also always used my hull number with a 'Ty' above the number.

Offshore Racing?
If you are going to race offshore:

CDers will probably appreciate your hull # more.
BTW, I like SailCare too. We visited their shop this Spring and got them to assess our main on the spot.
