We need to replace the galley sink on our 1981 Cape Dory 30. Any thoughts where I can buy a replacement sink or does someone have a good used sink?
Thanks,
Ayars Lore

Bar sink
Most of the galley sinks on the Cape Dorys are bar sinks. If you've got the dimensions of the opening for your sink, you may (if you're really lucky) be able to find a replacement that'll fit if nobody has a used sink for you.
Elkay has some nice bar sinks -- both single and double-basin. If you go to Elkay's web site, you can search for a sink based on size. So that may help. Go to www.elkay.com then select "Residential", "Entertainment", "Sinks" then "Top Mount". From the resulting web page narrow your search by indicating the number of bowls and the overall sink length. Don't let the prices shown on Elkay's web site scare you. You can get these sinks at Home Depot and other plumbing supply places. I don't know if this sink will fit, but take a look:
Home Depot -- Elkay BPSR2317 Double Basin Stainless Steel Bar Sink from the Celebrity Series
Faucet Direct -- Elkay BPSR2317 Double Basin Stainless Steel Bar Sink from the Celebrity Series
A.J. Madison -- Elkay BPSR2317 Double Basin Stainless Steel Bar Sink from the Celebrity Series
Google "double basin bar sink" to see what else is available from other manufacturers.
You can also purchase the bar sink strainers and drains from places like Home Depot as well as the faucet. We replaced our galley faucet (it was a Delta) with a Kohler single-hole kitchen faucet that we purchased from Home Depot. We did have to make a small modification in order to install it though.
Hope this helps,
Cathy
