I don't own one but I have always admired the lines of all Cape Dory's. Such beautiful vessels.
I realize there aren't many 270's and I have contacted a few owners over the years. None seem to have really ever taken their boats offshore. Does anyone know of any current or previous owners with offshore experience in the CD270?

Not I... yet
The main reason being we would have to invest in a host of equipment (radar, SSB, wind vane, etc) as Morveren is factory stock - very spartan in terms of equipment.
