Has anyone out there used this or similar products? Practical Sailor gave it high marks, and given the compound/polish/wax routine every spring, it seems like a sensible appoach until we get around to a new gelcoat job.
The new bootstripe (two roller/brush coats of Brightside polyurethane, easy and good looking, after stripping with Peel-Away) makes the old gelcoat look particularly shabby.
I am a little concerned, though, because the instructions indicate not to compound the hull first, but I have some gelcoat repairs that will require compounding. Is this a real prohibition, or is compounding just not normally required?
