Forestay lengths CD30C

Post by Julian »

I would imagine that most of you have measured your forestay - I mean what else would you be doing all winter. The reason I ask is because on the CD30C I have it's 37' on the nose. Yet the book says 37'6" and a bit. Anyone else have any different measurements or any ideas why mine may be short?

Thanks Julian

Mine is 37', 2 and 3/16" pin to pin. I don't know why they vary, other than mast rake, but I think that they all do, and it is best to use a good accurate measurement rather than factory specs when making a replacement.

...what Steve said.....and some or all of your standing rigging may not be original to the boat.
