Kelvin & Wilfrid O. White Co., Nautical Instruments?

Can any one tell me anything about this company with a Boston and New York address? I just purchased an antique 6 inch dry compass and need some parts. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Try Robert E. White Instruments in Boston, which I think is the successor company. 617 742 3045 or 800 992 3045. Monday through Friday, 9-5, according to their ad.

About 12 years ago I was able to get parts for a 1950's White compass from:
Rule Industries Incorporated
Cape Ann Industrial Park
Gloucester, MA 01930
Phone: 978-281-0440
I believe they are the successors to the Wilfred O. White, etc. company

Tom,
Did ya know that the Whites' are descendants of Captain? White that printed the first New England Coast Almanac? An offshoot of his efforts of charting tides and currents was that one of his sons started selling compasses and other nautical instruments. There is quite the story about him and his offspring in the front of the Nautical Almanac. It is still publlished by one of the Whites', I think a woman. Fair winds....
