This is for any of you CD-28 owners out there with MD7A's and hull #s in the vicinity of 200. I haven't been able to find a zinc which properly fits my shaft. 1" is too big and 7/8" is slightly too small. What size should I be looking for and where do I find it? Last year I used a 7/8" and was able to pound it enough to get it to fit the shaft, but this leaves slight gaps between the two halfs. I know the one I took off fit perfectly....any help?
Thanks,
Craig Scott

I use a 1" zinc with no problem at all. The halves don't quite meet when I tighten down.

Re: Shaft Zinc
You need a 1" zinc for a 1" shaft. I use the space saver zinc disc between the prop and the cutlass. It works good, but I can feel the extra vibration when it gets deteriorated after about 6 months then it's time to install a new one.
