Typhoon Bow Chock rod and pin, where to find

Post by Steve Buckley »

Hello all,

I was hauling up the anchor on my 1974 typhoon weekender last summer, and accidentally hit the bow chock pin which keeps the rod from sliding all the way out. Somewhere between the marina, the back yard and the marina this year the rod has disappeared.

There are two of these rods and pins -- one on each side of the bow chock which secure the mooring lines

Does anyone know where to get a replacement?

Check this link: http://www.spartanmarine.com and see if your bow chock is in the on-line catalog. If it's there (and I think it will be) call 'em at 1-(800)325-3287. They made it.

Thanks! I did check their catalog, and they don't sell that chock anymore, but I did ask if they still had the rod and holding pin. We shall see.

If anyone has a parts boat, I'd be interested in getting this part used.
