Thanks for the help on the electrical question - some good advice. How do I adjust my standing rigging at the beginning of the season? Do I do it while still on the hard? Can I do it without a Loos gauge? I've got solid tube turnbuckles, should I change them out for SS or bronze? Thanks.

Search on "tuning", you'll find plenty of information. The issue with tuning the rig on a Typhoon is deck compression. If the shrouds are made too tight, the mast can be forced down, and deform the deck. The tip that I found useful was to tighten the shrouds just enough so they would make a musical note when strummed. Definitely not bar tight. A Loos gauge is helpful, but not necessary. And do change over to bronze open body turnbuckles.
