Boat shipping from Georgia to NC

Post by mchaffie »

I've noticed that there are several CD's available on Lake Lanier GA for relatively good prices. Might anyone have a guess-a-mate on how much it would cost to ship a CD 25D or 27 to the Oriental area of North Carolina? Appears to be about 500 miles or so. Any recommendations on shippers to contact?

Appreciate any comments, cautions, etc ...

Load a Boat

Post by Gary M »

John,
I'm the second one on this board to use Load a Boat. I was very satisfied. I shipped about 1200 to 1500 miles for $2100 plus a fuel surcharge of about $240. They really did a great job.

Call Scott at Load a Boat and ask for a price.

You may want to check out Triton Yachts in New Bern, N.C., they advertise boat hauling.

I used Triton to move Parfait from Orange Beach, AL to Oriental and they did a fine job. I think the owner does the work himself, but you ought to check.
Keep on sailing,

Moving a Boat from Lake Lanier, Ga

Post by Nancy Martin »

Hi,

This weekend I will get the contact number for Denise Allen. She assumed her dads boat delivery business after he died. She lives near Lake Lanier.

She would pick up the boat up at either Holiday or Aqualand Marina. Her dad moved our boat, CD31, from Halsey Canon Marina in Charleston and delivered it to Lake Lanier. I have heard good thing about her.

Hi All, Denise and family moved my 30 hunter to mobile al. four or five years ago and when I gave that same boat to my daughter , they moved it back to Lake lanier as I bought a CD 30K this year. I was well pleased with their work. I like the cut of their jib.
The phone numbers I have are: Rolo Allen/ Denise-- 770-967-3365
