Hi Powerboaters
My CD 28' FB leaks rainwater and spray around the front pilothouse windows. It also leaks from the uppermost right front corner of the ceiling over the lower station above the window frame. It leaks from rough water spray so it doesn't appear to be comming through the hardtop from under the bridge. It leaks when I spray a water hose directly on the front windows. I have caulked around the rubber window gasketing to no avail. Walt Bilofsky said there were some comments posted in the past concerning window leaks however not knowning the date I was unable to locate them. Any suggestions...

Britt -
There's a link below to the message I referred to. I found it by usinng the Search feature at the top of the main message page. First I entered "leak" and clicked search. Then on the search results page I entered "power", selected search on these messages only, and hit Search again. That got all the messages with both leak and power - which was a small enough batch that it was easy to see what I was looking for.
On my CD 30 flybridge I have seen both leaks you refer to - the front window leaks discussed in my earlier message, and the leak from the overhead. On my boat there is a sort of teak valance a few inches out from the top of the side windows, making a recess for mini-blinds to hang in. When there's a good chop on the starboard bow, and lots of spray, I've seen water dripping from the valance. No idea how it gets there but I'd love to know. One of these days I'll have to pull down the headliner and try to find the source.
I'm not sure if my leaks happen in the rain or just in a chop. The front windows I think did not leak much unless the boat was pounding - probably that works the frame just enough to open the caulking up.
