Inamar boat insurance......should I switch?

Last year I had to take pictures of my boat to send to the insurance company. Last week I got a list of modifications I must complete by June 15. The list includes a highwater bilge alarm hooked to a strobe light. Also a fire port into the engine compartment and a gaseous extinguisher for engine fires. There are other things on the list. All totaled, they would add up to several weekends of work and 800 dollars spent. Does anyone think this is excessive? They are all good ideas, but should I be forced to comply. If not, does anyone have a good, fair, reasonably priced insurance company that I should call. Thank you in advance.
