Not exactly Cape Dory Related, But....

Post by Lou Ostendorff »

:D
I noticed in a recent issue of Sail Magazine (The Future of Sailing), in the 'For Sale' section in the back, was the Ted Brewer designed private yacht "Tree of Life". If you've ever read Ted's book on yacht design, you'll remember that this yacht was featured as one of his best and most satisfying designs...the color picture in Sail is just awesome, and I'd love to have some close-up pictures of the boat, but can't get to Newport, RI any time soon. I wonder if there are any local Cape Dorians who would like to take a few pictures for me? I'd gladly re-imburse you for the film cost. Let me know, and TIA!

P.S. Just because it's not a Cape Dory doesn't mean it can't be beautiful!

Remind me again in July...

Hi Lou,

If you don't get any photos of "Tree of Life" by July, remind us again. Our Fleet's rendezvous takes place in Jamestown which is right across from Newport and we'll be visiting Newport as well. If the boat's still there and we can find it, we'll take a few pics.

Do you know where it's berthed? There must be a couple thousand boats in Newport.
