Greetings all,
My wife and I are in search of our "dream" boat, and while doing the research have become very interested in the CD40. However we have never seen one. We have found a promising CD40 for sale out of state but are hesitant to travel without having laid eyes on a "sistership". Do you own, or no of an owner of a CD40 located in South or Central Florida who would be kind enough to let us take a peek?
Any help is much appreciated!
Regards, -Eric

Re: CD40's in Florida??
Eric,
The original Cape Dory yachts were built in Taunton, MA, so most of them are found in the Northeast. Cape Dory only built 16 40-footers making them a rare find.
The specifications for the CD40 can be found at this site at: <a href="http://www.toolworks.com/capedory/specs ... d40.htm</a> and if you'd like to see some exterior snapshots try <a href="http://www.robinhoodyachts.com/hybrasil ... sil.htm</a> and <a href="http://www.robinhoodyachts.com/voyagr.h ... agr.htm</a>.
Robinhood Marine Center (Georgetown, ME -- they are the old Cape Dory) now builds the CD40 as the Robinhood 40, and they've got a couple of interior and exterior photos of the new Robinhood 40 at <a href="http://www.robinhoodyachts.com/r40.htm" ... r40.htm</a>. The new boats should look much like the originals.
I've spotted 4 CD40s for sale, the two listed above, one in NJ and another in TX. Here's the info for the CD40 in NJ:
