I've decided to go the John Stone route: varnish on key elements, bare teak on the rest. Appreciate all the information.
Two additional questions:
Paul, you recommended lemon oil for the interior. I've used it a few times this summer. The interior teak on my boat is very nice and in good shape but does look dry in areas. The lemon oil seems to be a temporary measure. I'll put it on, the teak looks like a dream, but within a few weeks starts looking dry again. Should i continue to douse the wood with this stuff? Will it build up over time? The boat smells great, that's for sure.
Posting photos: For the life of me I cannot figure out how to post of photo on this site. And I'm not sure why, generally, some photos posted by others on the forum appear when i'm not logged in, while others do not. Appreciate any help.
