Re: Special Characters
I am having the same problem with Sláinte. I tried respelling it Slainte, but so far it still shows up scrambled.

Look for the blue "x" at the lower right hand corner of your post.Sea Hunt Video wrote:If I recall correctly, in the prior board there was a button we could use to "delete" a post we had previously submittted and then, for whatever reason, decided we wanted to delete it completely.
I have not been able to find the "delete" button (to delete an entire post) in this new board. Do we have this capability on the new board
Thank you.

I looked on several of my posts from the past few days. I did not see a blue "X". I then typed a new message in the "Sandbox" section and I did see a blue "X".
I went back and looked again at several of my earlier posts from this week and last week. There is definitely no blue "X".
Is it possible the blue "X" is automatically deleted from the screen after a period of time (a few hours to a few days)
I looked again at the "Sandbox" section and the blue "X" was still there after about 4 minutes.
To be clear - I have not had any Guinness in more than 18 hours

Here's the scoop: you cannot delete your post unless your post is the last post in a threadSea Hunt Video wrote:Bob:bobdugan wrote:Look for the blue "x" at the lower right hand corner of your post.

Re: Welcome to the new board!
Hey Bob. Congrats on the transition. Looks like it was a big job. It looks good and I think it will have some real benefits. One question about the new delete post mechanism: is the new format a moderator choice or is it mandated / dictated by the new platform? Thanks.bobdugan wrote:Here's the scoop: you cannot delete your post unless your post is the last post in a thread

It doesn't appear to be a moderator choice. There's an option to "delete posts" and I have that checked for registered users.MFC wrote:Hey Bob. Congrats on the transition. Re: Welcome to the new board!
The 'x" button to delete posts functions the same way it did with the old message board.
You can only delete your own posts; and you can only delete a post providing it has no Replies.

Love the new modern format. Nice choice.
