Anyone Have Cockpit Hatch

Re: Anyone Have Cockpit Hatch
Mike had a round aluminum commercial hatch in the sole of LaVida. We all fit into it pretty easily and it was a real lifesaver for access. http://www.capedory.org/board/viewtopic ... ch#p152592
His was very easy to open, had four dogs...the sort of hatch you would find on the deck of a ferry.

Very neat Tod. Your Facebook photo of the cockpit makes it look very small. Is that accurate?Tod Mills wrote:Mike had a round aluminum commercial hatch in the sole of LaVida. Re: Anyone Have Cockpit Hatch
The cockpit is just a CD 33 cockpit. The hatch is, according to Mike's commentary, 24" round. Not sure, but I suspect that is the clear opening.
Here are some similar (at least, might be this type) hatches.

Re: Anyone Have Cockpit Hatch
Here's another link where Mike says his was a "Baywood" brand hatch. Contact info for several manufacturers is also shared.
