Mounting Radar pole on stern deck of CD31

Speaking of radomes, ours is about 12 years old. Still works great, but does anyone know how long these things last? We do use it more than most folks as we live aboard all summer is fog-land.

I'm beginning my eleventh season. The technology has matured so I will likely be upgrading both my chartplotter and radar/radome next year. Planned obsolescence has ensured that no new replacement parts are available. I have no complaints, knock wood, my unit has never failed me.
