Whale Gusher hand pump

I am trying to,replace diaphragm on whale gusher 8, on myn25d. Need advice on disassembly.
I removed the one screw holding the diaphragm in place but ther doesn’t seem to ba another pivot point to,access the diaphragm? The plastic housing does flex but I don’t want to break it-is that the only way to,remove diaphragm?

Am using defender service kit, but having difficulty removing diaphragm.

I ordered the gusher 8 service kit from defender and when I finally disassembled the old pump the new diaphragm was too small. Replaced pump with whale gusher Urchin and it works great!
