I really like the grates in the cockpit lockers. I had always imagined some sort of glassed in shelves to make a level area but that is a far better idea.

One more task on the winter list for this year.

I have one of those nice Mahogany deck boards just dying to be cut into strips and set in the bottom of the cockpit locker.

Don Casey "100 fast and easy Boat Improvements"

I was at West Marine today and noticed a Don Casey book on clearance for $6.50 called "100 fast and easy Boat Improvements". Being a Don Casey fan I grabbed the book and when I got back to the boat I found an entire section on storage. There are a lot of great ideas for odd shaped lazerette storage so I'll do some crawling around tomorrow to see which might work. If you are nearby a West Marine, it might be worth seeing if they too have this book on clearance. It's not a technical book by any means, but there are a lot of creative ideas inside that shouldn't take very long to knock out on your boat.
