Good luck!

Just purchased my '83 Typhoon Weekender #1907 last November and really looking forward to getting her all dolled up for the this season. Over the winter, I've oiled the teak and buffed the brightwork.

I do have a small bow crack to repair and a bottom to paint to apply, but I will be launching May 1st no matter what. I share your excitement! Although my age says I retired, I am as excited as a little kid at Christmas time.

Again, Good luck!

Lake Norman Typhoon Daysailor

Post by Lake Sailer »

Congrats on your new-to-you Ty. I noted that the couple that sold the boat did so to get a Daysailor model and that they were on Lake Norman. I happen to have a daysailor model on Lake Norman and would be curious to forward them a hello and see if we can get a gathering of Tys on the Lake. Do you haver their contact info?

Lake Norman PO

Try Brawley's Beverage in Charlotte. Proprietor is Michael. He's the gentleman we purchased our Typhoon from.

I took our Typhoon out of the water a few weeks ago since the reservoir was getting a tad low up our way. Of course the next weekend we had a near monsoon and the levels came back.

Typhoon not back in the lake yet because about the same time our son was finishing up the purchase of a very nice CD28 in Oriental, NC. He now lives aboard her there and invites us to join him regularly!

Ain't life grand?
