After the first day at see we felt like we were sailing in an ocean devoid of life. After heading north and entering colder water we didn't even see anymore flying fish -- no dolphins, no whales, didn't catch any fish either. Wednesday afternoon we saw a big Portuguese man-o-war and Mike spotted a huge sunfish but that was it and we started seeing birds again.

The greatest speed we reached was about 9.2 kts sailing through a weak low pressure system on Tuesday night -- my watch -- but winds were only gusting to 20, maybe a little more. Like Nathaniel, I enjoyed pushing the boat -- full main and working jib!

Glad to hear that you guys made it home safely.
