I was wondering if trim tabs would be appropriate for a CD 28 Powerboat.
I understand that a trawler is not designed to plane, but I am
wondering if anyone has installed trim tabs to help the boat go faster,
say up to 20 m.p.h.? Any advice?
sincerely,
Ray

CD Powerboat 28 feet: trim tabs recommended?

Re: CD Powerboat 28 feet: trim tabs recommended?
Ray, I have a 28 CD power listed for customer. He recently installed
Bennett Trim Tabs after installing a Cummings 260HP Diesel. I have
taken this boat on sea trials and it performs great at all speeds. It
will run over 20 Knots with no problems at all. I was very surprised
this hull could handle that speed . I feel sure the trim tabs are the
main reason it handles the speed so well.....LONNIE
