Killer hurracane Floyd

Bandolera II, stripped down and tightly secured to her floating dock, has been spared from the fury of Floyd, since the deadly hurracane missed Miami. I will be praying for all the sailboat owners along the path of this monster. God be with you all.

Solace stripped down and tightly secured in Southport, NC (mouth of Cape Fear River) also. As of right now we're expecting the worse. Good luck to all in NC and SC. Weather man says we're in for quite a ride.

Thanks for your prayers - they worked! We were at "Ground Zero" in Satellite Beach, FL. We didn't take a direct hit, but - whew - that was a close one! Our CD30, Skywind, survived the high winds we did receive - not a scratch (after careful stripping down, additional lines, anchor off the stern, etc, etc.). Alot of work, but worth the effort to save our pride & joy.

Thanks again!
