Length of Mast, CD-30?

Length of Mast, CD-30?
Can anyone tell me the length of the mast on a CD-30? I'm getting ready to sign the winter storage contract with the yard here and they charge $1.75 per foot to store the mast. Want to make sure I tell them the right length. I only need the actual length of the mast, not the height above the water line. Thanks for your help.....

Re: Length of Mast, CD-30?
Dave, If nobody jumps in with the answer, just tie a line to the halyard and run it up the mast and mark it, then measure the line with your tape measure. Add a foot for the masthead stuff and you'll be real close. Can anyone tell me the length of the mast on a CD-30? Re: Stow your mast on boat instead!
Dave,
Maybe you have thought of this and rejected it for some reason, but here it is anyway. We stow our mast in a set of 3 crutches located on the boat. THe mast then is tied down quite well, and then becomes the center support for a set of 2 canvas (real canvas) covers that completely encircle the boat with mast (but leave the fore and aft ends open for air). The height of the crutches keeps the cover about 5 ft. off the cockpit floor, and allows us to leave the dodger up if we want to. This arrangement sheds ice and snow continuously, not allowing it to accumulate. Plus, it allows air to funnel through the "tent" that we created. We leave the dorade installed and turned towards the prevailing winter winds, and as a result get good circulation of air inside the boat..preventing mildew problems.
And the added benefit is that you can save the per foot charge for the storage of the mast.

You know how high he mast is from the water? It shouldn't be that hard to figure out how far from the water line to the bottom of the mast.

Most of the cost is associated with taking it down in the fall and restepping it in the spring. At our marina, the cost is the same whether it's stored on deck or in the mast rack.

The length of the mast (tube only) is 34'7". Add the mast head to that and your pretty close to and even 35'. from the water to the top of the mast is about 40'.
