Tree sap and other stains on dodger

Does anyone know how to get tree sap off the clear plastic areas on a dodger? The clear plastic cleaner I use cleans and polishes great except where there is sap. I'm afraid of using something too strong that will scratch or cloud the clear plastic.

I'd try turpentine. It's made from tree sap and won't scratch if you use a soft cloth.
