Galvanic Isolator

Post by Mark »

Id like to here some opinions on galvanic isolators. I've come down to two: "Pro Safe One" 30amp w/remote monitoring system or the "Guest" 30amp w/remote indicator lite.

Much Appreciated,
Mark

Remote?

Post by Ron Turner »

I've installed two on OPB's (other peoples boats) and never could figure out what there is to monitor. It blocks the path and thats all it does.

Mine shows a green light when working properly. There is a red light that is supposed to indicate failure, but I've never seen it. I have the unit mounted in the engine room where the indicators are not readily visible. A remote might be a good thing.
