Bimini and Side Enclosures for CD30

Post by dmetznik »

I plan to get a bimini top and add side flaps to my CD30. Has anyone done this, and do you have pictures you can forward? Are there any problems that have to be anticipated?

Bimini and side enclosures for CD30

Post by rodcapedory »

Hi

I have a 1981 sloop rigged cd30 with a bimini . It is small because of the long boom but it works well. I had it made by morgan Marina in morgan NJ . My side curtains are from another arrangement that went from the dodger to the backstay. They work to give me shade but were really made for earlier attempt at solving shade issue.

I'm sure you could have a connecting piece of canvass from the dodger to the bimini and the zipper side curtains to the connector and then separate side curtains for the bimini and a separate arrangement for the back of the bimini.

Good luck

Blessings

I'm sure that set up is very cozy but---------- it looks like hell.

I agree, but then I'm sure it extends the sailing season in Detroit.
