The Mad Hatter and crew will be making another trip to New England this summer. Last year we made if as far as Cuttyhunk. This year with a whole month off (July) we hope to make it to Maine. Along the way we plan to stop at Block Island (if we sail offshore from Cape May) or a few places along the Long Island shore if we transit New York harbor. Other stops should include Cuttyhunk, Hadley Harbor, Pocasset, P'town in Ma. Maybe a stop at the Isle of Shoals. Then on to the coast of Me. A stop at Robinhood of course, Boothbay and all the usual spots. We will go as far east as Rocque Island and turn and gunkhole back down the coast.
Any of you CDrs out there along the way that want to shoot out and say Hi feel welcome. We will have a boat blog like last year and will post the web page soon......we will depart the Chesapeake around June 29th.....hope to see some of you out there on the water.

David,
Fair winds and safe travels to you and Beth. Look forward to catching the updates on the webpage.
We got a late start this year but we're in the water. We've moved up to the West River, so our paths are less likely to cross. If I'm down HHN way before your planned departure, I'll look for you.
Best,
Brett

Hi Dave,
If you can, spend July 4th in Oyster Bay, NY again. We should have a small gathering of Cape Dorys there for the fireworks like we did last year.
Don't forget to check out the Northeast Fleet's list of events, we've got quite a few along your route, including the "Maine Cruise" but that'll be in August.
We plan to be up in the Fishers Island Sound area in late July and travelling eastward and northward from there.

If we transit New York Harbor might just do that....it would be nice to see all the folks again.
