looking for lantern to 4 d cell conversion for float strobe

It's becoming harder to find screw top lantern batteries for devices like my floating strobe light. However, i seem to recall someone sold a conversion devise to retrofit screw top lantern batteries with d cells. anyone know who sells same. thanks in advance.

I've seen the little gizmo that you're referring to but I can't remember where and I know that's not alot of help, but if there's an Aubuchon Hardware store near you, try that. And Ace Hardware is another place to try. If they don't have them in stock, they should be able to order them for you or you can order them online.
