It is time for my monthly update on the Cape Dory Rendezvous in Onset Massachusetts on July 17 - 18. The Yacht club has confirmed 25 moorings are waiting for us and several slips have been reserved. PIYC will be providing me use of their launch/work boat for Saturday and Sunday should anyone require launch service. PIYC will be having their weekly dinner at the club on Friday evening and they have extended an invitation for anyone arriving on Friday to join them. Please let me know of any interest to accept their kind offer. They will be providing me with the tentative menu and costs if anyone is interested.
Jim Parmentier has been providing me with a great deal of local knowledge and we hope to shortly finalize the route for Saturdays group sail. Our tentative timetable if for a group sail from approximately 9:30am - 4:30pm on Saturday, with a 1
hour anchoring for lunch. Be sure to bring your cameras as 25 CD in full sail will be a wonderful sight.
The caterer has indicated that he can meet most special dietary requirements, given sufficient advanced notice. If you have any special needs please let me know at the time of menu selection.
We have several folks who will be joining us via land (planes, trains and automobiles) who would like to join the group for the days sailing on Saturday. Please let me know if you anticipate having any space available for extra rail meat (crew).
Door Prizes - We have been very fortunate to receive several gifts from the folks at Good Old Boat magazine. The gifts include several back issues of their publication, plus two one year subscriptions.
REMINDER - All deposit checks and menu selections must be RECEIVED by July 1, 1999. After that date I will be cruising and your reservation or food selections will not be secured (you go hungry).
To assist those of you wishing to join up with other CD for your trips to Onset I have listed the vessels, owners, and home ports for those who have confirmed reservations

Onset Rendezvous - Update and Contact Listing

Re: Onset Rendezvous - Northern Contingent
Just a reminder that those of us north of the Cape Cod Canal are planning to leave Scituate for Onset about 8 am on Friday. Those leaving Boston will sail to Scituate on Thursday. All are welcome to stay over in Scituate or Boston (I'm at Marina Bay... always transient slips available) or meet up with us along the way!
