She's not a Cape Dory but aint she gorgeous? Carl Alberg was part of Marilyn's team of designers at Alden that drew up this yacht. By the way, if you're interested, she's for sale.
This is Venture, another Alberg-designed Alden.
Did you know that Carl Alberg designed one of the Hinckleys? Well, he, as part of the Alden design team, designed the Hinckley 21.
And this is Interlude, another Alberg design from the Alden design team.
Some pretty, and old, Alberg designs--not Cape Dorys

goody stevens boats
what wonderful pictures and stories. my good friends are the Stevens family from East Boothbay.. You should know some of them are still building boats today.. again the history and beauty of these boats is priceless. makes my little Ty full of that history as well. Funny when you see the same lines on bigger boats, whether CD's or not... You know who designed them.. So pretty on the water. Thanks for sharing it.

Still a beauty on the water. I get comments all the time. What a great thing on a small "yacht" such as she..

alberg Whitby 37
ALberg also designed a 37' for Whitby in Canada-narrower-sleeker-deeper and with longer overhangs than a CD36-absolutely beautiful-when you see one out of the water in a boatyard lined up with the the modern "clorox bottle" designs it stands out-I always thought Ray Hunt and Howland hit the nail on the head with the lines of the 40' Concordia-which was of course wood-and that Alberg came the closest to anyone in carrying on that traditional look and design into fiberglass-Kudos to those of us who understand and can appreciate these boats (and can afford to keep them going) they are functional works of art-
