CD25, Mast Length? (not height)

Brought my new to me CD25 home today, and measured the length of the mast extrusion. I got 26' 6" Is that correct or did some chicken heart shorten it?

I never measured ours when we had a CD25 but I recall that it just exceeded the boat length by a small amount on both ends. Your measurement sounds just about right.

Just so happens that our CD 25 mast is in the backyard on horses as we ready the boat for the water. Overall length of this mast is 26'-11".

Yes, that sounds right to me. Height above water is about 31'.

Don't forget that the 25 has a low-aspect rig relative to the rest of the Cape Dory line.
