Well, I did just fine with my CD25 at my marina in Galveston. We had 46 knots peak sustained, probably a 4 foot surge and one rogue wave of about six feet that picked up the hull of a trimaran which was then caught by the wind and stood on one hull for a couple of hours, then sunk.[/i]

Glad that your boat survived the storm.
Those CD 25s' are tough.

evacuating from Rita with Ty in Tow

Post by jdhunter »

I'm thankful that I have a trailer for my Typhoon. After boarding up the house, I hitched the trailer and towed the boat to safety. Thankfully, we were spared a direct hit in the Galveston Bay area. All the major highways were at a standstill, so I took surface streets. I'm sure I was a site driving through downtown Houston streets with a Ty in tow.
