Dave,
Did you have any luck getting hold of Standard Communications. All
my email attempts have crashed both for the US and UK addresses.
What is your email address ?

Re: Tele. #s
Murray,
I forgot to get ahold of standard, been real busy at work lately. The tele. # for the marine division in California is (562)404-2700, Fax is (562)404-1210. I looked at their web site, and didn't get much information off of it. Try the telephone and let me know here how you make out. I'll also try from here and respond in kind.

Re: Here's THE information...
Murray,
I just spoke to Technical Support, Marine Division, Standard Communications (Tim) about the SL-10. The part you need is called a "Paddle wheel repair kit", part number 602001009A, cost is $17.97 and they have them in stock. While I was talking to Tim, I asked him what would cause intermittent operation of the knot log, would it be impeller or display head in origin? He said that if the impeller is the problem, it would be a complete failure. If intermittent, it is more than likely a display head problem that IS repairable. He gave the following telephone number to order the PW repair kit: 1-800-366-8431. He said to just call that number, give them the part number, and they would send it right out. If and when you get it, let me knnow on the site how you make out. I might want to do the PW thing or possibly send them the display head for repair. Hope this helps....
