When we purchased our new CD powerboat built in 1985 it came with some of the instruction manuals. The one that we lack is the one that explains the adjustments to the Depth Sounder. It is produced by the Impulse company. We get a correct reading for about 10-20 minutes. Then the gremlins begin to go to work. The readings will go from the apparently correct depths of 10-20 feet to wild readings in the hundreds of feet and then the depths reappear along with the alarm sounding. I think that because of the shallow waters here in Florida the sounder is not calibrated correctly? Does anyone know anything about this?? Thanks

Re: Impulse Depth Finder
I had similar problems with a Signet depth sounder. Calibration didn't help. Ultimately, I found the problem to be a defective Transducer.John D wrote: When we purchased our new CD powerboat built in 1985 it came with some of the instruction manuals.
