I have read most of the discussions on the bilge pump and sump topic for the cd 25's, and am about to install my own manual pump. My dilemma is were to run the intake hose. I was hoping to run it in behind the ice chest but it is filled with that original hard grey bonding material. I was thinking of somehow making the ice chest removable so i will have access to the sump area and hose, is this wise? if not, where else can i run the hose?
The set up i am looking for is simple, manual pump in one of the cockpit lockers, and running the hose into the engine well. possibly with no thru hull, i will just place the hose every time i need to pump.
thanks for the help everyone, this site is invaluable

Bilge Intake
I have a 73 CD25 (Without the bridge at the companion way entrance). I cut a hole in the liner just behind the ice chest, below the cockpit floor. This gave direct access to about the lowest point in the bilge.
