Standard Horizon SL-10 log

We are still trying to get hold of an impeller to suit this log, either
new or used, as ours was removed from the vessel before we
bought her ( Cape Dory 30 Hull # 107, Dayspring ). If you have
one you are planning to upgrade to a more, or know where or how
one might contact a source, please either post here or email us at

Murray & Christine,
I just contacted Standard Communications @ www.standardcomm.com and asked them the questions about the knot log. I have one too, and it gives erratic readings. I'll let you know what I find out.

Dave,

Thanks very much...I look forward to finding out whether we can get one
or if they are now too old to get spares for. I have refurbished the display
head with new parts but still have no impeller for it. . I understand the
type number for type of impeller which goes into the bronze thru hull
mount is SIA15. Look forward to hearing from you.

Thanks,

Try Miller Marine, electronics repair, 4228 Lakeside Drive, Jacksonville, FL, 32210, 904-388-3690. We had our original (1983) instruments refurbished: re-calibrated, replaced liquid crystal, etc. They did a great job.
