Looking to buy a TY trailer in/near New Hampshire

Post by ekfeldborg »

My uncle died and left me his Typhoon. We had fun sailing it together, but now I must move it from mid-coast Maine to southern NH. I can hear you all now and I would love to sail it down myself, but I still need a trailer to manage it at this end.

Anyway, I can't wait for (nor can I afford) a new trailer from Triad or Loadmaster.

I am looking to buy a used trailer suitable for launching/hauling in salt water. I think that means galvanized with a tongue extension. Brakes and a mast support would be good too.

Am I dreaming, or do you or someone you know have one to sell? Any suggestions about other options would also be welcome.

Thanks,
Eric in NH

Eric,
I'm sorry to hear of your uncle's death and glad to hear that he left you the boat you enjoyed together. I'm sure he and your fond memories of him will live on as you enjoy his/your ty.
Sail on,
Jack

There are old sailors and bold sailors, but there are no old, bold sailors.

Reef early and often. It's easier to shake out a reef when one is bored than it is to tuck one in when one is scared.

When your only tool is a hammer, all your problems look like nails.
