EMS speed indicator

Post by Rick Wakem »

My 1978 CD25 hull# 657 EMS speed indicator impeller, which seems to be made of plastic, has a broken blade any idea how to repair or replace same. Where can I find a new impeller? Do I have to buy a new one? Thanks for this site its a great service for a smart bunch of boat owners.

Rick,
You need to replace it. My boat also has EMS instruments and I obtain parts from the new company. EMS (Electro Marine Systems) is now called Moor Electronics. Defender Marine carries their products, page 222 in the 1998 catalog. The latest address and web site I have for Moor is as follows:

Moor Electronics
601 Amherst Street
Buffalo, N.Y. 14207
PH: 716/876-4970
FAX: 716/876-0567
WEB: www.moorelectronics.com
