I would like to install a set of "factory original" curtains (embroidered with CD hull logo) in my 1985 CD26. Anybody know where I can purchase a set of these curtains?

Everthing was possible until you said you wanted tha logo. The orginal CD supplier is East Coat Embroidery, 375 Waterman Ae, E. Providence, RI 02914-2634 (401)434-9224 I understand they will be like the orginals but without the logo. The little addition of a logo was suggested by Andy's mother to the curtains (no kidding)....I met her at the factory when we bought our CD26. But it is a CD, Inc. logo.

What do the curtains look like, i.e. how are they attached to the port light or bulkhead?Dana, CD26, 85, Hull #2 wrote:John Kuehn wrote: I would like to install a set of "factory original" curtains (embroidered with CD hull logo) in my 1985 CD26. A picture is worth a thousand words....just take a look at one of my interior pictures which clearly shows the curtains fairly close up.
The curtain track is the toughest to find. The orginals were a single slot aluminium channel. The curtain pleats had a plastic pin sewn into each pleat. The end of the pins had a larger head area which when slid into the slot...held the curtain. Two end track end stops secured the curtain from coming out. It works pretty well since many of the sides of the coach roofs are not prefectly vertical. The curtain then could hang evenly.
I had installed a plastic full width curtain track across the boat to separate the CD26 head area from the forward berth area. This was just after getting my 85 CD26. The track is made of plastic. The plastic rods are still available from Boaters World and the plastic pins (if the pins can not be supplied with the curtains or you are making your own) is available from Defenders.
The curtains are of the muzzlen (sp?) type with a slight brown thread back pattern. The inside curtain surface (against the portlight) has a plastic quality for moisture protection. The curtain track is predrilled for screw attachment to the interior liner just above the portlight, not to the portlight.
