Recently bought 1980 Cape Dory 27, but it did not include an owner's manual or similar documentation. My previous boat, a Columbia 8.7, came with excellent documentation. Questions: Was there an owner's manual on the CD 27? Is it worth having? Is anybody willing to sell a xerox copy of one?

I have the Cape Dory 1983 combination manual which covers the 27 and the Cape Dory Line up to 30'. There are others on the site here who have a slightly earlier edition of the manual (1979/80). The manual covers running rigging sizes and lengths, sail plans, wiring, plumbing, rigging details, standing rigging sizes and lengths, boat specs, vendor list, general care, etc. It does not cover engines. There are some details on rudder, deck to hull joints, etc. If you do not get a better offer and want a copy let me know via my e-mail.
