Does anyone have advice on the minimum requirements for a vehicle pulling a Ty Weekender? Thanks.

After a year of hauling our 25D (6600 LBS. w/ trailer) I can tell you that having a vehicle that is fully rated (Ford Expedition) for the load helps make the whole process better. I recommend you use a full-size truck or SUV with a V8 and a receiver hitch. You'll like mass of a truck while going down the road and the V8 when it's time to pull the boat out at the launch ramp or onto the freeway.

I have used a 1988 Chevy Astro van with a towing capacity of 5000lbs, to pull my Typhoon Weekender and trailer which together weighs in at 2700lbs. With rear wheel drive, the Astro did great down the highway but on slippery ramps, it was just fair. We traded it for a Chrysler Town and Country with front wheel drive and the 3.8 engine. The Chrysler has a towing capacity of 3500lbs. It works much better on ramps, has plenty of guts on hills and interstates and gives respectable fuel milage of 14 to 15 MPG at 70+mph. You don't need a great big gas guzzing, four wheel drive SUV for a Typhoon unless you intend to cross mountains. I have seen people tow larger and heavier boats with little Toyota or Nisson pickup trucks. They just go a little slower. It really depends on how you are going to use it. One thing to consider is electric trailer brakes. Those really come in handy no matter what vehicle you are using. Good luck.

I pull my Weekender with a Ford Explorer with 4.0 liter six cylinder. It works fine but I don't ever take it too far.
