I have a 1986 yamaha 8 that fits perfect , slight problem with corrosion but runs GREAT , (same weight as their 6hp and pushes like a mother!)

I use a Johnson 8 with 15" shaft. After cutting a little off the top of the mounting board it works but the hatch wont close. It does however fit into the cockpit locker for storage on a 2x6 I set up in there. The 8 has plenty of push with a sail prop.
