1978 CD25 with Honda and Trailer, delivered, $6500

Post by Scott MacCready »

Found a new boat to buy and need to sell mine quickly...

My Boat is a 1978 CD25, hull number 635. She is in very good condition. This spring I sanded down and applied cetol to all of the exterior teak with the exception of the toe rail. The full-battoned main sail is only one year old and had never been used until March. The 100% working Jib and it's sheets have only 1 hours useage having just purchased them 8/1/02. It also includes a large Genoa which had been reconditioned last year. It's the sail I used all spring and is in very good condition. It includes all brand new bimini, mainsail cover, tiller cover, and forward hatch cover all made of navy blue sunbrella. The 12 volt electric system has all been replaced including new interior lighting, vhf coax in the mast, circuit board, AM/FM CD Player, and 2-12 volt marine batteries with charger and switch. Batteries can be maintained either by shore power or by the alternator on the 2001 Honda 5hp 4-stroke engine which by the way runs perfectly with the lazerette hatch fully closed unlike many engines on this model boat.
The fiberglass on the interior of the boat has all been repainted from it's orginal state and is very clean throughout. When I purchased the boat, it included no cusions but I had one custom made for the v-birth in May and it is perfect. I just purchased new foam and material to make my own cusions for the cabin but haven't made them yet. It has a new stainless sink and brass pump. I have also installed a thetford port-a-potty.
It also includes a tandem trailer which had been custom made for the cd25. It's set up to launch and retrieve the boat from a boat ramp but I've never used it that way always having the boat lifted instead.
Pictures can be viewed on my website when it works or I can send to via email.
My asking price has been reduced to $6500 delivered if needed to anyplace NE of Pennsylvania. It's currently located in Presque Isle,ME.

What a deal!!!!!!!!!

Scott:

What a deal. The Tiller handler alone is worth $7,000.00. For someone in the Med. profession, you need to take your temp with a BOAT therm.

Scott, best of luck to you. Go for it. If I can help, just ask.

God Speed,
Glen Snader

thanks to all that inquired. My boat now has a new owner whom I won't name due to privacy. It was purchased by someone moving up from a CD22 though.
