I have a couple of Hamilton Ferris water generator units which I dont use on the CD30, and have converted one to a wind generator for a shore based application. I wonder if anyone has the original conversion kit, made by the manufacturers, and if so, how many and how long are the blades? Mine is doing good work using a 3 bladed aluminium ceiling fan, modified to fit the shaft, but I would like to increase the output by optimising the blade design.

Re: Wind Generator
Murray,
You should be able to get that info from Hamilton Ferris directly.
You could probably adapt just about anyones hub and blades to the generator but determining the efficiency may be a challenge for the mathematically challenged like myself or use a DC ammeter and make some efficiency tests. I would contact Hamilton, here's a link to them .......
