Go to www.hurricanetrack.com for updates. Mark Suddath owns the site and is a "Hurricane Chaser". When I managed the GA Hurricane Evacuation Study for the Corps of Engineers, Mark did some work for us that was really good. He publishes storm surge maps (NC is available on his web site, I believe), and is really into the hurricane business. He lives in Wilmington and travels to each landfall. He keeps the site up to date, and is well respected in the hurricane community. Good luck!
