CD330 - Is It A Good Value?

Post by Chris Reinke »

I have spent the last 6 months trying to locate a CD330 which I could purchase. I have been unsuccessful until now. And now I have found two of them. Realizing that using the term "Fair Deal" when discussing a boat purchase may be considered sacrilegious by some, I shall use the term "good value". I would appreciate as many comments on the good market value of the CD330 as possible. If I get only one reply, or an anonymous reply, I will assume it is from the current owners.

The first boat is in exceptions condition with the additional equipment listed below. Asking price $87,500.
- radar
- loran
- autohelm
- 6’ zodiac
- dodger
- all safety equipment (flares, PFD’s)

The second boat is also in exceptional condition with the additional equipment listed below. Asking price $57,000
- autohelm
- dodger

While the first boat is in true sail-away condition right down to the docking lines I think it is a bit high priced. Any comments?

A BOAT IN THE $60K RANGE OF THE QUALITY OF A CAPE DORY PRESENTS EXCEPTIONAL VALUE AT A PRICE THAT ALLOWS YOU TO ADD WHAT YOU WANT AND NOT TAKE SOMEONE ELSES PACKAGE. THE MAIN THING IS TO HAVE A COMPLETE SURVEY DONE BY SOMEONE YOU TRUST. BU THE WAY, I JUST LISTED MY CD33, NOT A 330 AT $60K. CHECK IT OUT AND GOOD LUCK TO YOU IN SEARCH OF ONE OF THE GREATEST BOATS EVER BUILT.I have spent the last 6 months trying to locate a CD330 which I could purchase. I have been unsuccessful until now. There is a CD 33 at Robinhood Marine in Maine for $53K. $87 seems way out of line. In you searches, did you locate any 31' or 32' boats in good conditions?
