I am thinking about buying a 1978 CD25. What are the possible problem areas that I should Look for? What is an appropriate price?
Thanks

Re: What are problems to look for in buying a CD25 ?
I bought a 1972 (Hull # 12) CD25 in the spring for $6200. It was well kept with plenty of new electronics, a rebuilt Johnson 6, 4 sails - the important ones 5 yrs old, new stove, head & plumbing. The only big problem was that the rear main stay chain plate was rusting away. Look under the lazerette and check. There was also some water getting in because the bow pulpit lost a bolt. I also found out under very inconvient circumstances that some of the cotter pins that were holding the main sheet onto the boom were missing. All in all, not bad for a novice boat owner in a 26 year old boat.
