When: October 11-12-13, 2002
Where: Yankee Point Marina - Rapahannock River
What: 2 days, 2 races for boats whose design is 25 years old and older. Live music and pig roast on Saturday night. Not sanctioned by the CBYRA; a great majority of participants are cruisers. It is really, really nice.
This is a perfect, fun filled venue for a Cape Dory gathering. I will be volunteering as a land based volunteer and not racing my boat this year - so I can help coordinate shuttle transport or fetch groceries or otherwise provide dedicated support services to Cape Dory owners who would like to join the fun. I propose that Cape Dory owners consider participating!
Relevant fact - it conflicts directly with the Annapolis boat show, so those wanting to enjoy both would have to take in the boat show on Thursday or Friday. As a land based volunteer I can work on shuttle transportation logistics if there is a demand for them. (It is a 3 hour drive by car between Annapolis and Lancaster, VA)
